FlyQintess Tawny Flower Candle Warmer Lamp
A tawny crystal-glass flower shade on a gold arm and solid wood base, warming a scented candle from above so the fragrance fills the room with no flame, no smoke and no sooty jar.
- A candle warmer lamp with a tawny crystal-glass flower shade, a gold-tone arm and a solid wood base, standing about 32 cm tall.
- Two GU10 halogen bulbs are included. They warm the top layer of wax from above, releasing the fragrance without lighting the wick.
- The height adjusts, so the same lamp handles a large jar candle, a tall candle, a small jar and a dish of wax melts.
- A wired controller switches the lamp on, steps through four brightness levels (25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent) and sets a 2, 4 or 8 hour automatic shut-off.
- The flower-shaped shade throws a warm, patterned glow across the room, so it works as a gift as well as a candle warmer.
Product details
A candle warmer lamp solves an odd little problem: the candle you paid good money for is nicer than the way it burns. Lit, it tunnels down the middle, throws soot up the inside of the glass and has to be watched. This lamp skips the flame entirely. A halogen bulb under the shade warms the surface of the wax from above until the top layer turns liquid and the fragrance lifts into the room, and nothing is ever on fire.
The practical gain is that the whole top of the candle melts evenly. There is no tunnel, no crater and no wick to trim or drown. When you switch the lamp off the pool sets flat and clean, ready to melt again the next evening. Because nothing is burned off as smoke, a candle often lasts noticeably longer this way.
What sets this one apart is the shade. The tawny crystal glass is cut into a flower, so when the bulb is on it throws a soft, warm pattern across the wall and ceiling. Paired with the gold arm and pale wood base it looks like a proper table lamp rather than a gadget, which is why it ends up on a bedside table, a sideboard or a bathroom shelf instead of in a cupboard.
The height adjustment keeps it useful. Loosen the arm, slide it, and the gap between the bulb and the wax changes to suit a large jar, a tall candle, a small jar or a dish of wax melts. Getting that gap right matters: close enough to warm the wax, without touching the rim of the jar.
Everything runs from a wired controller on the cable. One press turns it on, further presses walk through four brightness levels, and a timer sets 2, 4 or 8 hours. Brightness is not just mood lighting here — the brighter the bulb, the warmer it runs and the faster the wax melts, so the same dial controls both the glow and how strongly the room smells.

FAQs
How does a candle warmer lamp actually work?
A halogen bulb under the shade sits directly above the candle and warms the surface of the wax from the top down. The top layer melts into a shallow pool, the fragrance oils lift out of it into the room, and the wick is never lit. Switch the lamp off and the wax sets again.
Is the scent as strong as burning the candle?
Most people find it at least as strong, and steadier. A flame burns off some of the fragrance oil along with the wax; warming releases it instead. Turn the brightness up if you want the room filled faster, or down for a gentle background scent.
Will it fit my candle?
Almost certainly. The arm adjusts to suit large jars, tall jars, small jars and dishes of wax melts. If your candle is unusually tall, measure it first and check it against the lamp's overall height of about 32 cm.
Does it work with wax melts as well as candles?
It does. Put the melts in a shallow heatproof dish, lower the shade towards its bottom position so the bulb sits close, and they will melt the same way. A dish is easier to clean out afterwards than a jar.
What does the timer do?
It sets the lamp to switch itself off after 2, 4 or 8 hours. Two hours suits an evening in one room, four covers a working afternoon, and eight is the overnight setting.
Do the brightness levels change the heat?
Yes — that is the point of them. The bulb is the heater, so a brighter setting runs warmer and melts the wax faster for a stronger scent, while a lower setting gives a soft glow and a slower, gentler release.
Can I use it as a bedside reading lamp?
It is designed as a candle warmer rather than a lamp for reading by, and the shade throws its light downward onto the candle. It gives a lovely warm glow to a room, but do not buy it expecting task lighting.
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
GU10 halogen bulbs, and two come in the box. GU10 is a very common fitting, so replacements are easy to find in any UK hardware shop or supermarket.
Is it safe to leave running?
There is no open flame, which removes the main risk of a burning candle, and the timer will shut it off for you. Treat it like any mains lamp with a hot bulb: put it on a stable surface, keep it clear of curtains and fabric, and let it cool before you move it.
Is it safe around children and pets?
It is a lot safer than an open flame, which is why many people switch. The shade and the area near the bulb do get hot in use, so site it where a curious child or a cat's tail will not reach it, and let it cool before you handle it.
How do I clean it?
Let it cool completely, then wipe the glass shade and wooden base with a soft dry cloth. Wax splashes come off the base most easily while they are still soft. Keep water away from the bulb housing and the controller.
What colour is the tawny shade?
A warm, golden-brown crystal glass that glows like autumn light — richer than clear glass and softer than deep amber.
Is it a good Christmas gift for mum?
Yes. The tawny crystal flower, gold arm and solid wood base look elegant in any room, and it lets her enjoy her favourite candles without a flame.
Which candles suit it?
Soft scented candles in warm notes — vanilla, amber, sandalwood or spice — pair beautifully with the tawny glow. Slow melting soy wax gives a steady, pleasant scent.
What are the delivery costs?

Can I return it if it does not suit me?
Yes. If it is not right, you can return it in line with our returns policy. Keep the packaging where you can — a glass shade travels much more safely in the box it arrived in.
Does it come with a warranty?
A specific warranty length is not confirmed in our product record, so we will not state a figure we cannot stand behind. Your statutory rights apply, and you can contact us before buying if warranty cover matters to you.
