  • A candle warmer lamp with a fluted amber-glass flower shade on a gold-tone pole and a round wooden base.
  • A 50 W bulb inside the shade melts the top of the wax so the fragrance lifts into the room with the wick never lit.
  • The pole extends from about 23 cm to 33 cm, taking jar candles up to roughly 15 cm tall as well as small tins and wax melts.
  • Four brightness settings — 25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent — control both the glow and how fast the candle melts.
  • It arrives in a gift box with two 50 W bulbs, so there is nothing to buy before the first evening.

Product details

This is the lamp to buy when you are buying for somebody else. It arrives in a gift box rather than a plain carton, it comes with both bulbs it needs, and there is nothing to assemble beyond screwing one in — which matters when the person opening it is not especially interested in setting up a new gadget on Christmas morning.

The shade is fluted amber glass shaped like an inverted flower, and the amber tint is doing real work: it warms the light before it ever reaches the candle, so even a plain white candle underneath glows the colour of a lit one. The vertical ribs scatter that light into soft stripes on the wall behind, which is what makes it read as decoration rather than appliance.

In use it is straightforward. Slide the pole to set the gap over your candle, press the controller to cycle through 25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent brightness, and pick a 2, 4 or 8 hour timer. Because the bulb is also the heater, those four brightness levels are four melting speeds — high to fill a room in fifteen minutes, low to keep a quiet scent going all evening.

At 23 to 33 cm and around 900 g it is one of the more compact lamps in the range, which makes it a better fit for a bedside table or a narrow shelf than the taller flower lamps. The trade-off is candle height: it takes jars up to roughly 15 cm, so the very largest three-wick tubs are better matched to one of the 38 cm lamps.

FAQs

Does it come ready to give as a gift?

Yes. It arrives in a gift box with two bulbs included, and setting it up means fitting a bulb and plugging it in. There is nothing to buy separately before the first evening.

How does a candle warmer lamp work?

A warm bulb above the candle melts the top layer of wax. The fragrance lifts out of that liquid layer into the room, the wick is never lit, and the wax sets flat again when you switch off.

How big a candle will fit?

Jar candles up to about 15 cm tall. That covers most standard and medium jars; if you mainly burn the very large three-wick tubs, one of our 38 cm lamps is the better match.

What do the four brightness levels do?

They set the heat as well as the light. At 100 per cent the wax melts fastest and the scent is strongest; at 25 per cent you get a gentle glow and a slow release for a long evening.

Is the scent as strong as burning the candle?

Usually stronger and much steadier, because a flame burns off some of the fragrance oil along with the wax rather than releasing it into the room.

Does the candle get used up?

Only very slowly. Nothing is burned, so the level barely drops — what you lose over time is fragrance, not wax.

Can I use it overnight?

Yes, that is what the 8 hour timer is for. There is no flame, and the lamp switches itself off. Put it on a stable surface clear of fabric.

Is it safe with pets or children around?

It removes the open flame, which is why most people switch. The shade and bulb area do get hot, so keep it out of reach in use and let it cool before moving it.

Will it work with wax melts?

Yes. Use a shallow heatproof dish, lower the pole so the bulb sits close, and they melt as they would over a burner — with no tealight needed.

Can it fix a tunnelled candle?

It is one of the best ways to. The whole surface melts rather than just the centre, so the ring of wax stuck to the glass gradually levels out.

Is it bright enough to read by?

No — the light is aimed down at the candle and the amber glass softens it further. It is a glow, not task lighting.

Are spare bulbs easy to get?

Two 50 W bulbs come in the box, and replacements for warmer lamps are widely sold. Bulbs are a consumable in any candle warmer.

Does the Draome come gift-boxed for Christmas?

Yes, it arrives in an elegant gift box, so it is ready to give for Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day or a housewarming.

What makes the glow feel so cosy?

The fluted amber glass flower shade softens the light into a warm, golden glow. On 25% or 50% it gives that gentle ‘warm lamp feeling’ while slowly warming your candle.

Which candles pair well with it?

Soft scented, slow melting candles up to 15 cm tall — vanilla, lavender, rose and amber blends are lovely — give a pleasant, steady fragrance.

Does it come with a UK plug?

It runs on standard UK mains. Where the supplier confirms the plug type we state it on the listing; if it is not shown, message us before ordering and we will confirm what your unit ships with.

How do I clean the fluted shade?

Cool it first, then use a soft dry cloth and a clean dry brush for the ridges. Keep water away from the bulb housing, and only a barely damp cloth on the wooden base.

Do you deliver, and how long does it take?

Yes, across the UK. Delivery estimates and options appear at checkout before you pay.

What are the delivery costs?

At £38.99 this lamp is over our £35 free-delivery threshold, so UK delivery is free.

Can I return it if it does not suit me?

Yes, in line with our returns policy. Keep the gift box if you can — it protects the glass shade in transit.

Does it come with a warranty?

A specific warranty length is not confirmed in our product record, so we will not quote one. Your statutory rights apply, and you can ask us before buying if warranty cover matters.
